March 4-5, 2011: It was my pleasure to deliver a keynote talk for a symposium on the music of Lou Harrison as a part of the Post-Classical Ensemble's festival "Sublime Confluence: The Music of Lou Harrison" at the Indonesian Embassy in Washington D.C. The following night I also spoke at the Post-Classical Ensemble's concert of Harrison's music at Lisner Hall. Angel Gil-Ordóñez conducted a fabulous program that included Harrison's Piano Concerto and Strict Songs.

May 10, 2009: MicroFest a Pomona College featured performances by the HMC American Gamelan, playing new works of mine including the premiere of for gamelan, electronics, and video. Quartet Euphoria reprised its performance of Breath of the Compassionate , also with video, and pianist Aron Kallay performed works of Stellation Kyle Gann. The gamelan also performed works by David Doty and Lou Harrison. This concert is only one of a terrific line-up of MicroFest events, which are detailed on the MicroFest website.
